Applications for our products include a broad spectrum of C4ISR uses, including radar processing, SigINT and other electronic warfare use. Our uniquely designed enclosures, transit cases and modular data rack and cooling modules have met the militarys most stringent requirements, spanning all branches of the armed forces.
SprayCool Technology
The main function of SprayCool Technology is to use evaporative cooling to keep processors (and other electronic components) in a thermally-controlled operating range, reducing power consumption, heat related failures, and allowing for higher density electronics packaging. SprayCool is the process of using dielectric (non-conductive) liquid evaporation, or phase change, to cool electronic systems. A fine mist of coolant is sprayed onto the electronic hot spots and immediately evaporates. The vapor then circulates to a heat exchanger where it is condensed as the heat is rejected to air or a water system. The cooling fluid is pumped to the SprayModule; in a continuous closed-loop fashion. This process results in an extremely efficient method of cooling.
Beyond cooling electronics, SprayCool Technology provides many additional benefits:

SprayCool Technology can be applied at the global level, where multiple printed circuit assemblies are housed in a sealed enclosure and misted with dielectric fluid, or at the chip level, where the SprayModule encapsulates only the processor (replacing the heat sink). Both implementations are closed loop systems.

Cooling and power consumption in datacenters, especially high performance computing applications, are demanding the attention of facilities managers in government, industry and universities worldwide. Many are space constrained causing them to fill racks with servers beyond the ability of existing cooling infrastructure to maintain component temperatures within OEM specifications. Others seek to reduce facility power consumption while compute requirements increase year after year.
SprayCool® rack products enable server densification by removing processor heat and efficiently rejecting it to facility condenser or chilled water. Reduction in power consumption is achieved by bypassing air handling equipment. SprayCool offers power efficient densification leading to a lower total cost of ownership.

Shipboard
Shipboard applications range from radar to communications and power electronics. SprayCool® products solutions include all product offerings: Racks, enclosures and component cooling solutions. In both the power electronics and rack computing solutions, SprayCool products enable up to 100% performance density in the shipboard environment due to the ability to bypass air handling equipment and reject heat directly to the ships electronics water cooling loop.

Many customers have high performance requirements that go unmet from the lack of a cooling solution in extreme environmental conditions without increasing size, weight and power (SWAP). Often, customers forego high performance in trade for SWAP conformance. It is easier to concede performance than risk overheating or add an environmental control system to get heat out of the vehicle.
SprayCool® enclosure products enable customers to run highly dense electronics without sacrificing environmental requirements or growing SWAP. SprayCool products have been tested on EFV, AAV, and Humvee's validating performance and reliability. Solutions being hosted in SprayCool enclosures include a wide range of commercial grade computing and communications gear supporting C4ISR applications. It is common to see overall system size, weight and cooling system power savings as high as 30%, 50%, and 70%, respectively, due to the reduction or elimination of air conditioning systems.
